In February, we launched our first ‘Back to Nature‘ series sofa, ‘Kayu Sofa‘.
This sofa is a blend of the iconic Gustav Stickley’s proto-modern design with an Asian culture twist. With influences from Japan’s wood design element along with the traditional Malaysian Kampung home stairs railing, Kayu was born.
Today, we will love to provide some tips to pair our Kayu sofa with other furniture!
Simple Pairing
Let’s start simple. Pairing Kayu with its sibling, Kayu Armchair. Pairing the same colour wood in a room will never go wrong as the same wood tone will provide continuity and structure to your space.
Besides the Kayu armchair, we added our top seller coffee + side table, Mizuno. The slightly different wood tone pairs really well with the Kayu collection.
Let’s not forget Drum side table by Dad’s Wood that adds contrast into this living space.
Pairing with a bit of Rattan
Want to spice up your space with something different? Pair it with Sanji armchair instead! The curved rattan-embellished arms and solid rubberwood is the perfect combination that provides a sense of casualness into your room.
Instead of pairing the space with similar wood tone coffee table, we spiced up this space with Teruko coffee table instead. The similar warm natures of the walnut colour along with the lighter wood tones makes them a good fit regardless.
